Artist Statement

My work explores states of consciousness and the subtle forces that shape perception beyond what is immediately visible. I am interested in how painting can register inner experience — not as illustration, but as material presence.

In a cultural context defined by speed, productivity, and constant stimulation, my practice moves deliberately in the opposite direction. I work slowly, allowing each painting to unfold over time through layered processes that require attention, patience, and sustained presence. This slowness is not a retreat, but a way of resisting reduction and re-engaging perception.

Color functions as a structural and energetic element in my work. Rather than representing external realities, the paintings operate as fields where sensation, rhythm, and intensity accumulate. They invite viewers to encounter the work through their own bodily and perceptual awareness, before interpretation.

While my practice is informed by long-term spiritual inquiry and experiences that engage the unseen, these influences remain implicit. The paintings do not propose answers or outcomes; they open a space for reflection, attunement, and the possibility of transformation through experience rather than explanation.
